Fink Announces Grants to Support District 94 Firefighters, EMS

February 12, 2025

HARRISBURG – Grant funding was awarded to 11 first responder companies that serve the 94th Legislative District under the PA Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, according to Rep. Wendy Fink (R-Red Lion).

The funding comes from an ongoing grant program created by the Legislature which is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.

“Every day, District 94’s fire and EMS personnel work to ensure our communities are protected when an emergency arises,” said Fink. “These awards are a token of our appreciation that will allow our local companies, many of which are volunteer run, to make needed equipment and safety upgrades. I’m glad to see these dollars invested in critical services without using any General Fund tax revenue.”

Grants awarded within the 94th District are:

   • Airville Fire Co., $12,018.
   • Alliance Fire and Rescue Services Inc., $28,322.
   • Craley Community Fire Co., $14,170.
   • East Prospect Fire Co., $12,879.
   • Lake Clarke Rescue Inc., $12,018.
   • Laurel Fire Co. No. 1, $13,094.
   • New Bridgeville Memorial Fire Co., $12,233.

   • Springettsbury Township Volunteer Fire Co., $12,879.
   • Southern York County EMS, $45,000.
   • York Area United Fire and Rescue, $20,000.

The funding amounts are contingent on the recipients filing their grant agreements with the Office of State Fire Commissioner.
