Fink: Bridge Dedication Will Pay Tribute to Local World War I Veteran
October 31, 2025
HARRISBURG — Rep. Wendy Fink (R-Red Lion) invites residents of District 94 to attend a bridge dedication where a York County bridge will be renamed to honor PVT Myles Albert Ness, a World War I veteran and former resident of Windsor Township.
The dedication will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 9 a.m. at the Kreutz Creek Bridge in Windsor Township. Following the dedication, light refreshments will be served at Fink’s office, 100 Redco Ave. in Red Lion.
“By drawing attention to the lives and legacies of local veterans, we can preserve their memory, as well as inspire patriotism and gratitude in future generations,” said Fink. “I appreciate this opportunity to pay tribute to a York Countian whose service shaped our history and has had a lasting impact on the community. I hope many constituents will join us to celebrate Ness’ life and service.”
Ness, a York County native, joined the U.S. Army in 1917 and served in the 6th Infantry Regiment. This regiment was part of the 5th Infantry Division during World War I, fighting in several campaigns, including the renowned Meuse-Argonne Offensive.
Ness was wounded in action following a mustard gas attack, but he survived the war. He died on May 15, 1958, and is buried at the Zion United Methodist Church in Windsor Township.
RSVPs are required. Please call Fink’s office at 717-244-9232 or visit RepWendyFink.com/Events to confirm your attendance.
